The Role
We are seeking an innovative, highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our cutting-edge team, Hyderabad, India. In this role, the candidate will be at the forefront of developing both traditional predictive AI models as well as implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques with generative AI models.
As a key member of our Engineering / Data team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a diverse range of AI solutions. These solutions may include real-time risk intelligence prediction, a conversational assistant and workflow automation using AI. Your expertise will span both conventional predictive analytics and the latest advancements in generative AI and have an opportunity to lead and drive the solution to end to end.
Responsibilities
- Understand the AI solution we are trying to provide to the customers, understand the data needs to effectively create that solution and do any data gap analysis as needed
- Train and deploy traditional predictive AI models for risk intelligence and optimization in supply chain and logistics
- Design and build conversational AI assistants leveraging existing open source LLMs and applying RAG using the enterprise data
- Bridge the gap between predictive and generative AI, creating hybrid solutions that leverage the strengths of both approaches
- Analyze complex datasets to extract actionable insights for both predictive and generative AI applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration across our product suite
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in both predictive and generative AI, incorporating new techniques into our workflow
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data science, with demonstrable projects in both predictive and generative AI
- Strong proficiency in developing traditional machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering)
- Hands-on experience with generative AI models and RAG techniques
- Expertise in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with vector databases and information retrieval systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with evolving requirements
- Preferred:
- Experience in supply chain, IoT, or logistics industries
- Knowledge of GCP and AWS cloud and AI platforms
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and large language models
